Keeping The Fun In Life

7 03 2012

I was on Orrin Woodard’s Blog today and found this awesome video. Talk about a guy that is using the gifts he was blessed with and having a good time doing it. One of the challenges in Life is not letting the daily grind take away the child-at-heart spirit that is in all of us. Thanks to this gentleman for being an original Rascal.

Enjoy, Steve Leurquin

Steve, it certainly is refreshing to see someone having that much fun, and bringing joy to others, while doing something your passionate about. I think there is a lesson to be learned here… my observation, all too often in our work places, is that they have become places of monotony and drudgery. We could all learn a lesson from this drummer. Have a little more fun at work. Be deliberate about bringing joy to your coworkers. Be passionate about your job, “as if you were working for the Lord, and not for man.” After all, its our attitude, and our attitude is our choice. I choose joy and I choose fun! Thanks for leading the way with your attitude and bringing more fun into all our lives. Thanks for sharing that video!

WOW!! At first I thought he was just a goofy drummer until I looked closely and realized what he was doing. I looked at his other videos (Whipeout was fantastic!) and saw guy who is an expert in his field, loves what he does, and is having a great time doing it! We should (and can) all be so lucky.
Thanks for the post Steve, defiantly in the fun “F”!
